10/14/2019 0 Comments Emeni"Emeni" in Tongan means "Amen."A long time tradition for my family is to say a "family prayer" in the morning before we start our day, and at night before we sleep.
When I was a child in Tonga, my parents conducted long family prayers for hours. My father insisted that family prayer was more important than our other plans because it was an opportunity for us to talk to God. Later when I became a parent, I realized that family prayer also strengthened the family because we gather as a family and give our full attention to God. My children are now parents, and they continue the tradition of family prayer with their children. For that reason, "emeni" has a special place in my heart. It reminds me of family prayer, and time with God. If you are looking for gifts with a Christian meaning, then please visit my gift shop.
